Garden Affairs Corporate Branding

During my time at Garden Affairs I had the opportunity to take lead on a variety of projects surrounding corporate branding.  These projects included designing installation team uniforms, keyrings, candles and signage across our showsite.

All of the Garden Affairs buildings are made from timber which expands and contracts depending on the weather conditions and time of year. We regularly received inquiries about doors and windows being sticky which is completely normal, however, we wanted to come up with a product to help customers solve this issue themselves.  I designed a leather keyfob with a slot in the back to hold the 4mm allen key required to make this adjustment. We also added a metal tag on the front which has our website and on the reverse, a QR code directing customers to the instructional how-to video.

When I joined the GA team, our installation team uniforms consisted of thick  polyester polos and fleeces. Having studied textiles for many years I knew that synthetic fabrics that don't breathe weren't the right type of thing for the team to be wearing.  After some staffing changes, I approached a new Manager in the Operations department about changing the uniform to something that might be more suitable for the team to be wearing.

Following his guidance about health and safety procedures, I designed new grey cotton tshirts and new green cotton hoodies, branded with high-quality white transfers.

In summer 2024, our Director wanted to revamp the showsite, this gave me the opportunity to design a new main showsite sign for out the front by the entrance.  I had been working on updating the company's branding across other aspects of the business like the brochures to give them a more modern look.  The new showsite sign I had printed on a metal sheet in the hopes it would last longer than the plastic ones that were there before which deteriorated quickly.

After

In 2024, one of our Manufacturers was unable to continue to supply buildings in Larch, they developed a new product called ThermoWood®, this meant we needed to make at least one new sample board, however I took this as an opportunity to make a complete set with a new look.  Rather than designing the boards with the labels on to be printed, I just ordered blank boards online, and used my cricut machine at home to cut the labels out.  This meant that in the future if we wanted to change one of the colours on the board, it meant peeling off a sticker and a sample, not needing to redo the entire board.

During the summer months I was responsible for organising and scheduling photography sessions with previous customers to photograph their buildings.  These images were for marketing purposes to be used across our website, social media channels and advertising.

These candles were a collaboration between Garden Affairs x Ubiety, and we purchased our signature scent in copper tins to give to customers as a thank you gift. I branded these myself with a vinyl sticker on the lid.

This is a V1CE card. It uses NFC (near field communication) to transfer details from the card to a phone with one tap.  I set up a Linktr.ee account that connected to the QR code on the reverse that had all of the company details on. This was created with V1CE for our Director to use instead of handing out business cards when he attended social events.
